About us

Huma Foundation was created by Alejandro Cuervo, founder of IPETH (the first university in Mexico to offer a degree in physical therapy), who initially detected the need to create a school-clinic for students to carry out their practices, but at the same time attend patients under a low-cost model, understanding the great need in the Mexico for physical rehabilitation services.  

In order to help this model grow, HUMA Foundation was created using its own resources, those of collaborators, associations and individuals. In this way, more than 100,000 patients have been served under a humane model through the Stela clinics where high quality services are offered to people in economically vulnerable situations.
